What does my workshop registration get me exactly?

Registration includes all instruction, demonstration, classroom and field sessions as well as accommodation at the Four Seasons.

Is transportation provided?

For maximum flexibility, during and outside of workshop hours we encourage students to have their own transportation around the island. We may however carpool to certain locations and if transportation is an issue please let us know and we will look for alternate solutions.

A typical workshop day includes instruction, one or more on location shooting sessions, and time for editing and reviewing of work. Each day may vary in order to best utilize the natural light and opportunity of each location.

Why Maui?

The island of Maui has been voted as World’s Best Island 20 consecutive years by Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax, experience great culture, find adventure, eat great food, drink excellent coffee or beer, shop, scuba, snorkel, surf, fish, golf, hike or take photos…Maui has it all. We’ll be able to explore a wide range of settings as we take a day-long adventure and explore the black sand beaches and bamboo forests on The Road To Hana, we’ll take to the sea for a sunset cruise around the island, we’ll enjoy the beautiful sand beaches when we photograph surfers at Big Beach, and we’ll hit the town when we visit quaint Lahaina, full of art galleries, restaurants, shops, and craftsmen.

Do I need to bring my own camera?

You are welcome to bring your own camera, but it is not a necessity. We’ve partnered with Canon who will be on-site with a variety of their best and newest cameras and lenses for you to shoot with during the workshop!

Do I need to be an experienced photographer?

No, all skill levels are welcome, and with our small student to teacher ratio we will have ample opportunity to cater the course to each student’s needs.
